User Interface Overview
This is a quick overview of the Spectrio 9000 Portal’s Manage and Create functionality. Spectrio gives you two powerful tools to help you manage and create all of your business audio, and you can do it from any web browser. Spectrio makes it simple!
The Device Manager allows you to manage, view status, change message on-hold content and background music. You can even schedule content changes in advance on a single device or on groups of devices located anywhere in the world.
The Production Manager is a tool for assembling the actual audio content that you will use on a device. It’s drag and drop easy. Choose the music you like. Choose the messages you like. Content you assemble and save here will be available in the Device Manager for you to assign to a single device or multiple devices.
The Device Manager
The Device Manager allows you to push new content to your devices and view device status, including which productions are currently loaded! First, click a device to view and manage it.
On the Message On-Hold tab you can see all of your available productions and assign a default. Simply drag and drop a production and click “Save!” This is the easiest way to push content to a device. If nothing else is done at this point, this will play on the device 24/7. If your device is offline, content can still be loaded via USB. See “Update a Production via USB” for details.
Switching a Device to Offline USB Mode
Spectrio 9000 devices can operate without a network connection in Offline-USB Mode. When in USB mode you can create an on-hold audio production with the Production Manager, save it to your computer and transfer it to the device with a common USB flash drive.
To change a device to USB mode first select the device, then click Settings.
In the pop-up box, choose ‘Offline-USB’ and click Save.
If your device was online prior to changing this setting, it will be automatically be updated to the device. If your device was offline, a configuration file “PlayerConfig.cnq” will be created, which should be saved to a flash drive.
After you save the .cnq file, insert the flash drive into the device’s USB port. The device will restart and load the updated connection settings. When the Hotspot light turns solid blue, remove the USB to reactivate your audio.
The Production Manager
The Production Manager makes creating a production quick and easy. Once voicing has been loaded by Spectrio, click the new production button. Or click on the green “Productions” tab on the left.
Name your production and add a description if you’d like.
Now choose the background music for your production from the “Premium Music” list. You can preview music tracks by clicking the play button. Once you’ve found a track you like, drag and drop it into the “Music Playlist” column. Note: Clients receiving completed, pre-mixed productions from Spectrio should add the “Silence” track in this column.
Next, choose the messages for your production. Your customized messages appear here in the “My Messages” folder. You can preview each message by clicking on the play button. Drag as many messages as you want from any category into the playlist. You can drag messages up and down in the playlist to reorder them.
Now that you’ve picked the music and messages you want to use, in the Production Control Area, choose how long you’d like just music to play between each message, for this demonstration, let’s choose 10 seconds. The music fade level is set at a default of 50%, which is recommended for most on-hold productions. This means that the music will fade down to 50% volume when a message plays then fade back up to 100% when the message is complete. You can change this as you like.
Now press the Preview button to listen and make any adjustments you’d like.
Once you’re satisfied, click ‘Save’. Your production will be saved to the Production list and you can go back and edit it at any time just by selecting it. Your production is also automatically saved into the device manager’s MOH Production list and is now available to be assigned to your devices.
