Android
For the Android tablet kiosk, you can do this without closing the kiosk software. Start with your finger at the top of the screen, touch and drag down. This will display an Android system menu where you can navigate to settings. There, go to WiFi settings and find your network. Tap to connect and enter the password, then you should be ready to go. Close the settings menu and go back to the kiosk. It should be able to connect to the Spectrio Engage server now.
iOS
For the iPad tablet kiosk, you can do this one of two ways. If the iPad has not been installed in an enclosure yet, simply hit the home button and close the kiosk application. If the iPad is already in an enclosure, tap and hold your fingers on all four corners of the screen. This will pull up a number pad for you to enter 8981 to close the software. Then navigate to Settings and the WiFi settings to find your network. Tap to connect and enter the password, then you should be ready to go. Close the settings menu and go back to the kiosk. It should be able to connect to the Spectrio Engage server now.
Windows
To exit the presentation, tap or click on all 4 corners of the screen starting from the top right and working around clockwise. This will pull up a number pad to enter the code 8981 to close the kiosk application. Now you can navigate to the network and internet settings to configure the internet connection if it did not connect automatically when you plugged the network cable in.
Can I mount my Spectrio Engage player in an enclosure or inlet behind the screen?
For the Large Format Kiosk, we do have several enclosures we recommend that are designed to house the kiosk player for easy, secure storage, and also to promote good air-flow and effective cooling. If you’ve purchased on of our enclosures, you’re good to go. If you’re not sure or you need an enclosure, please contact Support at dsxsupport@spectrio.com or 800-584-4653 and we can help you get the enclosure that you need.
