We’re so glad you asked! The Content Editor is Spectrio Engage’s one-of-a-kind tool which allows you to customize HTML-based GoTemplates (which are represented by a purple “Go” icon). The type of editing you can do using the Content Editor is very robust, and far more advanced than the parameter-based customization that is possible with the legacy Flash-based GoMedia files (which are represented by a gray “Go” icon).

Using our new and improved Content Editor, you can completely customize our GoTemplates by choosing your own backgrounds, adding and removing scenes, inserting images and text boxes, selecting from a wide variety of animations, selecting fonts, text sizes, colors, line spacing, and so much more. You can replace images in the template file with other Spectrio Engage-provided assets, or with images from your own Asset library, such as your logos.
To edit a GoTemplate file using the Content Editor, select the file from your Media library and then click on the “Edit Media” button with the pencil icon. Only one file can be selected at a time, otherwise the Edit button will be disabled.
Once the file opens in Content Editor, a large preview “Stage” is shown at the left, and a movable “Tools Panel” is shown at the right. When you select an element (Textbox, Image, or Shape) on the Stage, the appropriate editing tools appear in the Tools Panel at the right. If you do not select a specific element, or if you click outside of the preview stage, by default the Background is your selection.
