For each content item you create, you control the dates on which that content should display.
Activities and Menus
For activities and menus, you set the exact date when that activity happens or that menu will be served; for activities, you set the start time as well.
You can also use the How Often Does This Happen? option on activities and menus to make them recur on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual schedule.
Announcements, Media, & Custom Slides
For announcements, media albums, and custom slides, you can use the Display Starting and Display Until fields to control the dates when the content appears. If you leave these fields blank, the content shows indefinitely.
You can also use the Enabled/Show switch to hide content; that switch will override any date settings to hide the content immediately.
Birthdays & Memorials
For birthdays and memorials, the content is shown based on the date you set and your community's slideshow settings. By default, birthdays are shown for seven days in advance, plus on the birthday itself; memorials are shown for seven days after the deceased date (or the date the memorial was created, if no deceased date is entered). Birthdays repeat each year, but memorials do not.
To change the birthday and memorial settings for your community, go to Settings, then click Slideshow.
Therapeutic Music
When scheduling a music program, you can set the time when it starts, the duration, and the days of the week it should play. Music schedules are always treated as recurring.
