If you would like to create a very specific look for a slide for your LifeShare Digital Signage, you can utilize Custom Slides to upload an image that shows the exact look you want.
For example, let's say that you wanted to create a slide welcoming people to your community, with your community's logo and a specific color scheme and font, like this:
You could create the image for your slide in whatever image editing software you prefer. For best results, make sure to set the dimensions of the image to 1920 by 1080 pixels, and save it as a .jpg file.
With your image ready, click Custom Slides in the community where you would like to display the slide. Choose New Custom Slide, type in a name for the slide, and then click Select New Image to select your image file.
After saving, your slide will appear in your list of Custom Slides, and it will appear in your slideshow as directed by the Enabled/Display date fields.
There are some important things to note about custom slides.
- Custom slides are used in Digital Signage only. They are not used in the mobile app, printed calendars, or LifeShare for Alexa skill.
- When displayed in the slideshow, custom slides appear for ten seconds at a time. Therefore, it is best to keep the text in the slides to a minimum to allow viewers sufficient time to read the contents.
- When creating custom slides, choose your font types, colors, and sizes carefully to ensure that they are easy to read. We recommend using large, sans-serif fonts in colors that provide enough contrast against the background color.
