Events App - Adding Sources
In this article, we will be reviewing how to add sources in the Events App.
Data Source Setup
Click on the Source icon in the top right corner on the dashboard of the Events App.
When creating a new Event template you can add your event source data under the Data Source section. In this popup box, click on the Add New Source text to add a new menu data source.
You can also search through your existing sources and edit or delete them using this popup box.
You can now follow the related section below that fit the event data you would like to utilize in the Events App.
Excel Data Source Setup
- Choose a Source Name for the feed.
- Click on the Download the starter file link provided to download a pre-formatted Excel file.
3. Fill the spreadsheet with information from the events you would like to appear on your slides.
4. Upload the completed file.
5. Click Create Source.
iCal Data Source Setup
- Choose a Source Name for the feed.
- For Google: From your computer, open Google Calendar.
- In the top right, click Settings
- Open the Calendars tab.
- Select the name of the calendar you want to use.
- In the Integrate calendar section, click copy the link that appears in the iCal format, or click the ICAL link to download an ICS file.
- Paste the URL into the iCal Feed URL field in the Events App.
- Click Create Source.
Exchange Data Source Setup
Fill in the fields with the proper information outlined below:
- Choose a Source Name for the feed.
- Username and Password – Enter the credentials for a service account that has access to the mailboxes that you would want to publish.(This can be your individual credentials if they have the correct permissions.)
- Email – Enter the email of the mailbox you would like to pull from.
- Folder ID – This is an optional field to be used if the calendar is housed in a public folder and not your normal calendar.
- Folder ChangeKey – This is an optional field to be used if a calendar is the calendar is housed in a public folder and not your normal calendar.
- EWS Exchange File (Exchange.asmx) – Enter the link to your Exchange.asmx file.

- Click Create Source.
